Haribo Outlet :)

Went to the Haribo Outlet today! Haribo is a famous German candy company that is responsible for inventing the gummy bear, which is there signature item. They had every kind of candy you could imagine at great prices! I bought a bag of mixed candy and a child size backpack for €2,50! Hope you enjoy the pictures! With Love...

Meeting the Mayor of Bonn

Typical Monday....

Hallo! Wanted to give you guys a taste of my day to day life here in Germany. If I have class I usually do that and walk around town and grab some lunch. If I don't have class then I usually sleep in a little and go the the university to do some homework, meet up with friends for lunch, and become more familiar with the city.

When I woke up Monday morning this is what my house/street looked like! So Beautiful! I also included a picture of Ruth (my host sis) helping me with my German homework. She is so great. We have become quite close and I love spending time with the family!














Then I met up with some friends...walked around town and ended up grabbing a Döner for lunch. It's a Turkish dish. SO GOOD. It's kind of like a salad and a sandwich combined. So delicious and cheap!






Also, saw this advertisement for Princess and the Frog...so weird to see it all in German.






I'm really enjoying life here. Everyday I learn something new. More posts to come! With Love.....

oh Germany...

Haven't posted anything in a few days...just been going to class daily and sleeping whenever I can. I'm still pretty tired all the time. I guess I haven't adjusted to the time change. Good news though! Booked a couple of trips for the month of February. I also have a trip to Berlin and to Prague, which are included in the program.

So here's my February:

France: Jan 29th-Feb 1st

Berlin/Prague: Feb 6th-Feb 11th

Ireland: Feb 28th-March 1st



So this next month should be very busy with school and traveling. So, I will definitely have a lot more pictures! With Love....

Cologne- Cathedral

This Cathedral took my breath away! It is the 5th widest in the world and the 2nd tallest in the world and was built over a 600 year span dating back to the year 1000. So cool! I had so many great pictures of it so it was hard to choose just 5. The cathedral is actually so large that in most of my photos I had to get on the ground in a attempt to capture the entire thing...but even then i couldnt. it was just too large from every side and angle! We also took a roof top tour of the cathedral which was great because we were able to see the city lights. Magnificent!

Cologne - Around the City

Today we went to Cologne. But the city is so beautiful and there were so many things to see that I couldn't put all of my pictures on one post. So here are the pics from when we first arrived during the day.

I have to take classes here?

So today I had class from 8:45am-6pm!! that should be illegal right? I mean yes I had breaks in between but when you are taking German in the morning and Philosophy in the evening...breaks don't make much of a difference. It was weird to have class NOT at LMU though. I think it's starting to hit me that Im not coming home for a while. So weird. Missing my family and friends back home. Wish they could share these experiences with me. :(
but one awesome thing happened today....I FINALLY GOT MY LUGGAGE!! Now it will take me much longer to get ready in the morning because I will have so many different outfit choices :). Tomorrow we have an excursion to the city of Cologne which is the 4th largest city in Bonn. I heard its beautiful. Im so excited for another fun day with new friends and hopefully I'll get some more great pictures to post. With Love...

City of Eiffel & Monreal

Today was awesome! We had to get up around 5:30am which was one of the low points of the day but after that it was so great. I saw so many great places and learned so much. We first went to a gregorian chant mass in the morning. It felt like i was in the Roman days lol Then we drove through the city of Eiffel (beautiful landscapes) and visited a castle there that was over 1000 years old! After that we went to the small village of Monreal - voted prettiest village in Germany two years ago. The town was so cute. We then hiked up the slipperiest and steepest hill ever to see another small castle up close and to get a better view of the city. We did not get back until about 6:30pm. When we arrived Irmgard and her daughter Paula greeted us with a traditional German meal ( I would write it if I could spell it lol). It was actually very tasty. I told Paula that I have German and Philosophy class tomorrow and she said she would help me with my homework! She's 12 and has already taken Philosophy! Unreal! Today was a very long day but it was very educational and enjoyable at the same time. Hope you all enjoy the pictures! With Love...

Lazy Day...

Pretty relaxing day today overall.... went into town to get a few things. Bought some amazing bread from a bakery here. So far I love the bread, the chocolate, the cheese, and the pretzels! Also went to a Starbucks and had some coffee there to try and keep warm. It's snowing and 30 degrees outside! We were all going to go out tonight but I guess all of us Californians can't take this extreme cold at times lol. Saw more black German boys today. SO STRANGE to hear them speaking in German! lol Tomorrow is going to be such a long day! hopefully i can get through it. Going on an all day tour of the city of Eiffel, Germany. Should be fun though! It's going to be so cold :( Will post pictures tomorrow! With Love...


Oh and these are pictures of DeAsia and I on the bus...with beer haha. We were so cold waiting for our bus we just bought a beer to keep warm - isnt that bizarre? We were laughing so hard! Everyone on the bus thought we were drunk but we were just laughing at the fact that we were drinking beer on a bus! haha That's how cold it is right now!

Everyone drinks beer everywhere here! Anyplace...anytime...we werent even the only ones with beer on the bus hahaha

Saturday -Free Day :)

Yesterday was a lot of fun...did our walking tour of bonn and had great conversations with my host mom. She's awesome. So intelligent and cultured! I'm not sure what today will bring but I'm excited to possibly have lunch at a cafe or do some shopping. The H&M is awesome:)

Everything is so beautiful here. I really like it so far. My host family is very nice and knows a lot about where to go and what to do. Can't wait until I'm fully adjusted with this lifestyle. Missing home a little. Wish I could have taken everyone with me. With Love...

London for a night :)

So here's my day...or like day and a half. Plane left 2 hrs late from LAX. Finally got to London. Ran to our next flight that got cancelled because of the snow. Stood in about 7 hrs of lines. Had to stay the night in London (where i am now). aannddd on top of everything else...THEY LOST MY LUGGAGE. but for some odd reason im still having a lot of fun! trying to post pics but i can't. will post some soon!
